Day 4: Plitvice lakes NP

By now we have done Zagreb and its surroundings, here we are, at Plitvice lakes. The first, largest and most visited national park of the country. It became a NP in the year 1949 and in 1979 was inscribed into UNESCO's world heritage list. It consists 16 lakes, which cascade one into another, and many more waterfalls and cascades. Regarding Flora and Fauna, 260 animal species, and around 1400 different plants have been found in the park. This natural gem that covers 300km2 of surface will amaze you with its beauty as it has already amazed millions of people before you. Driving towards Zadar in the evening.
